Common questions

Do you offer recruiting?

For key roles, yes. We design the role, run the search for finance, operations, and leadership hires, and build the onboarding so they succeed. We don't do high-volume staffing.

Do you only work with nonprofits?

No. Our roots are in mission-driven organizations, and our principals have also worked in corporate, financial services, and public sector settings. We work with nonprofits, B Corps and mission-driven companies, growing businesses, government agencies, and public and community investment programs.

Do you work outside Atlanta, or outside the US?

Yes. Most of our work can be done remotely, and our experience is global. We've supported organizations across the US, including Washington DC, New York, Chicago, New Orleans, Nashville, and Dallas, and built finance operations spanning six continents, with multi-currency accounting, international payroll, and employer-of-record compliance.

Who leads the work?

Every engagement is led directly by a Fifth District principal from the first call to the final handoff. We take on a limited number of clients at a time so each one gets senior attention, so reach out early if you see a change coming.

How do you price your work?

Every engagement is priced to fit its scope. Fees depend on the size of your organization, the work involved, and how long it runs. We'll talk through options on your consult call and confirm everything in a written proposal before any work begins.

Do you provide ongoing bookkeeping?

No. We set up the systems, write the procedures, and train the people who will run them day to day. We're happy to help you find and onboard a bookkeeper.

Not sure which fits?

That's what the consult call is for. Bring what you know, and we'll figure out the right starting point together.
