Selected work

Real engagements, with identifying details left out.

County government

Infrastructure plan for a new public initiative

The situation: A county agency was launching a new initiative and needed a plan for how it would be structured, funded, governed, and run.

What we did: Built the infrastructure plan, including entity and formation options, a risk assessment, the operating and staffing structure, and the finance and governance setup.

Result: [CONFIRM: what happened next, for example the plan was adopted or the initiative launched]

Global nonprofit, six continents

Global finance build and leadership transition

The situation: An international organization needed finance infrastructure that matched its global footprint, and later a planned handoff of its finance and operations leadership.

What we did: Built a global payment system, multi-currency accounting, international payroll and employer-of-record compliance, reporting dashboards, and budget tools. Ran the search for the next finance leader and delivered a full transition plan, workflow maps, an internal audit timeline, and a cash flow projection.

Result: The successor team took over with documented systems and no gap in finance leadership. [CONFIRM]

National leadership nonprofit

Governance and business model overhaul

The situation: A national organization was going through a leadership change and rethinking how it is staffed, governed, and funded.

What we did: A governance review, leadership transition support, a financial overview with revised financial policies, new SOPs, an insurance review, a shift to a board-led model supported by contractors, and new funding and revenue models.

Result: In progress.

K-12 school

Audit readiness and financial systems

The situation: A school needed its books, reconciliations, and payroll in order ahead of its audit.

What we did: Set up bookkeeping, reconciliation, and payroll systems and led full audit preparation.

Result: [CONFIRM: audit outcome, for example a clean audit with no findings]

Situations we help with

Common moments when organizations call us, and what the work looks like.

A board member leaves, but their name stays behind

Former board members, officers, or executives are still listed on state filings, bank accounts, or systems. We find every loose end and close it before it becomes a risk.

A program outgrows its home

A grant-funded program or public initiative is ready to stand on its own. We map the options and risks and build the structure it needs to operate independently.

A founder is ready to step back

The business still runs through its owner. We document how it works, strengthen the team, and get the finances ready for a buyer or successor.

A company is coming to a new city

A new site or headquarters means new hires and new expectations from residents. We plan hiring, pay, and community commitments that hold up over time.
